actually, didn't Sex and the City make this joke, about 15 years ago?

Remove the entire special effects budget, add Jon Pertwee and this could be a 70's Dr. Who episode.

UGGGHHH: I do have it- damn you, iTunes search function…

John Landis did the joke first. (And repeated it, in all his movies).

Hadn't noticed. I guess I fail as a nerd but win as a person.

"On the second EP, it’s “Come Thou Fount Of Every Blessing,” "

The cook was Steve McQueens pal in Great Escape but I saw a close up of the blandly handsome dude who was in Comic Strip Presents.

Mind: Blown.

I assumed the ball is part of the droid - so, isn't it "BB-8 was my favourite part"?
Yeah, I'm getting pedantic about a movie that no-one's seen, so?

Also: the dude from Crossroads was in a Jon Pertwee show?

No "Curse of Fatal Death" - FAIL.

I love AVClub: I make a random observation and I get a bunch of really thoughtful replies. And that's why this is pretty much the only comments section on the internet that I read.

Great point about "Call me, baby" - it's those spaces and invention that really engage, isn't it?

The arrangement certainly lacks some invention and spark. And yeah, I'm not really "getting" Taylor either.

Think you're right. And I'm not really buying her "I'm just like " awkwardness in the video.

Really, THAT'S what he sounds like? It's a good voice but was expecting more… shouty. And growly. More like Lemmy, on the chorus of Ace of Spades.

First time I heard "Call me Maybe", I was impressed by the elegant conciseness of the songwriting and arrangement. I knew I was hearing a pop classic, knew it was going to be a huge hit and wanted to hear it again.
First time I heard "Shake it off", I was impressed by the elegant conciseness of the songwriting and

You're all wrong: Can't Do Without You by Caribou. (Long version, please.)

Love Bunglers was the best anything I read this year - that double-page spread at the end… (sorry, I need a minute…)

that actually makes sense now. The studio cut was a mess and completely uninteresting - this actually works.
