Granted, the last time I really used one on a regular basis was the iMac era, so I'm not super well-informed. My dad recently got a Mac Mini, and it seems fine. Just not Earth-shatteringly awesome, is all.

That's totally legit… I do that to my kids all the time. 'Guess why? Chicken thigh.' 'Daaaad stop it!'

Honestly, it's an emotional reaction. The marketing and the way the company has positioned itself in the zeitgeist (as well as how its fans have positioned it) are factors. They make fine machines that do what they're supposed to do, and that's all that should count. I think you're right in that they might be buying

You guys must be a lot of fun to be around. No wait, I'm taking lessons from @TheRadioCat…

Nailed it in one word! I need to take comment lessons from you.

That's funny. My dad claims that's why he spouts conservative radio talking points, because it's "funny to make liberals mad." Seems like a good reason to do something…

Big shoes to fill… I'd like to see Betty White make out with Christopher McDonald. No, really, I'd kind of like to see that.

Well, well… 'Merry Christmas' indeed!

Unfortunately Betty White, Cloris Leachman and the rest of the Granny Mafia have all the meaty roles sewed up.

Missed this and commented above (below?). That's mainly what I remembered her for. Pretty much all I remember about that movie, actually.

I mainly remember her from Studio 54. She does too much coke and dies, as I remember. Pretty good performance in a bit of a stinky movie… she will be missed.

Good call. I did it when I was a teenager, and my dad was the obsessed driver and I couldn't talk him into flying. Dear lord, I should have tried harder.

My boss is the same way, except he uses those examples in business situations. It's a little… unusual.

This article reminds me of the time we drove 26 hours straight to Florida. I felt like sitting in that car had become my entire reality. And then when I got out, there's Florida. Ta dah!

Age of Ultron! Clap, clap, clap-clap-clap!

She never admitted she had a problem…

In the early 90s, my little sister was obsessed with Tetris. We went on a family vacation to Disney World, and she was all anxious about being without it. I found an arcade on Main Street, USA that had a Tetris cabinet, and I would take her over there once or twice a day to get her fix. Good times.
