That's a pretty great way to describe what they do… nothing more embarrassing than a middle-aged white guy trying to pull off Mustang Sally, now baby.

I didn't realize Alan Jackson recorded a version… the more you know!
Robble robble robble! Where's King's Quest! Where's goddamn Sea Dragon for the TRS-80! What about the other thing I remember that I liked!
I called my Congressman, and he said, quote: "I'd like to help you son, but you're too young to vote. Or remember how kickass Space Invaders was when it came out."
E.T. should probably be there, based on the criteria. I watched that Atari: Game Over doc the other night, and I feel really bad for that Howard Warshaw guy.
All the youngsters are using Pink Bear. You've probably never heard of it.
I can't upvote you twice…
I'm perversely amused by the way Cobain was being quirky and keeping his stuff in the bathtub, and then the bathtub did what it was made to do (i.e. catch water), and he was hoisted by his own quirky petard. Then, he BLAMED THE APARTMENT and moved out.
Polly wants a discount..
NOW who's got the real anti-parent culture sound?
I was going to post part of that… it's always the first thing that pops in my head when Montgomery Clift comes up.
Sanding a turd. It gets… a little messy.
Pffff… I don't even OWN a hot gay club!
Big Beacon of Bliss, or Big B.O.B. for short? Not so sure about Thaddeus…
My son watched it pretty much non-stop… I THINK it did good things to his brain. We'll have to wait and see. I got a little burned out toward the end, but I liked a lot of the songs and interstitial animations and stuff.
Unrelated, but I just noticed your avatar name. I used to be in a band called Brocktoon. Didn't really go anywhere, but still… good to see another Brocktoon brother and/or sister.
It's an almost-pure distillation of 80s pop culture… not so much specific things about pop culture like Rubik's Cubes and parachute pants, but the general vibe and the way the characters view themselves/each other. It might not appeal to current young people.
I don't know why, but River Phoenix's death bothered me more than pretty much any other celebrity death. Maybe it's being close in age. And I think I remember reading around the time this came out that he was going through withdrawals or something during filming, so he looks all sweaty and tortured. Pretty sad, really.
Upvoted regardless!
i have to tell you, I'm liking you a lot today. You're my kind of antisocial guy and/or gal. Keep up the good work.
