It just … missed for me. Maybe it was the ridiculousness of the premise. Maybe it's Pierce's father as a character … his cartoonish-ness always felt unnecessary.

People need to chill out.

Why is Justin Bieber always holding his left wrist like he sprained it?

More like a spec script written by people that are trying just a little too hard with their first episode.

No. Some of the jokes in this episode were too sly, and i didn't notice them until the second viewing.

I mean, how can you make a parody of multi-camera sitcoms and NOT have Malcolm Jamal Warner in it!

Hmmmm … I think my issue is that I didn't feel the love.

One of the underlying reasons why the sitcom parody in this episode fell flat is that it broke Dan Harmon's cardinal rules from his Channel 101 days — parodying something from a place of hate, instead of love.

Seeing Fred Willard just underlines how different the Pierce character would be without Chevy or Harmon. Harmon somehow made Chevy's vanity, bitterness and desperation work.
Would Advanced Dungeons and Dragons work with Fred Willard as Pierce? Probably not.

Now that's what I call an F! BOOM MUTHAFUKAS BOOM!

Where the fuck is Truman Show? You jackasses.

Quentin Tarantino is obviously the man with two films in the top ten, Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. I'm betting Pulp Fiction is number 1.

This is seriously just a case of Nathan being a hipster grumpy-gramps.

I just saw the movie. And yes it's generic, as Nathan mentions, with formulaic characters.
And yes, it's also the best cop movie I've seen in years, as Robert Ebert mentions.
