Yeah… Honestly ya'll have won me over. I was wrong about CITW.

I'm with you, though room 237 is the one that fucking blows my mind. It's a goddamn youtube essay and not a great one. It's not filmic. It'd function better as a podcast.

I think "decade" in this sense means 2010 and later right?

Did I miss We Are the Best on the list?

I noticed that too. It was mostly people seemingly saying it should be lower in the list.

Amen.

No apologies necessary, you didn't disagree with me.

YEP. It's also Anderson's funniest film with much of the same technical comedy that they copy and pasted from the internet about Scott Pilgrimm (not that they're wrong about SP — It's just that GBH is Anderson's most accomplished film editing wise)

Why?

Yeah for me GG functioned as the living, breathing, walking mosnter than MRAs warn you about, and it makes the insanity of the film all the more exciting and clever.

They are different movies with different goals. Grand Budapest is a madcap romp. It has different hurdles to clear,

But it's funny as fuck.

Skyfall is a fucking FINE. I don't know why people pretend they even remember half of it.

I think that the "Holy Shit that's Paul Giamat— Holy Shit thats Omar— Holy shit that's sherloc— Holy shit that's Brad Pi—" effect makes the performaces seem worse to some people. It feels more like distracting stunt casting for tiny roles to me than a problem with the performance.

I'm kind of with him, but you are also correct.

I'm really afraid how quickly "no likable characters" has moved into the "legit critique of a film for adults" territory. I blame geeks with their rules, lists and heroes.

Do yourself a favor and skip that Raging Bull/Taxi Driver double feature.

William Hughes took the wrong shit away from GBH.

Yeah I know AV Club… you linked to an article that talked in detail about this just a month ago. Great Job Internet is canon right?

What did? The end credits? The end credits of a movie got old really fast?
