You know, I just watched the first episode and it's flawed and all, but definitely better than most of the sitcoms that emerged this season. Peet and Walton have decent chemistry and Joey King is a rare non-obnoxious precocious tv kid. Does anyone know why NBC is burning these off?

There is a fundamental flaw in the idea of Kyle MacLachlan as the fancyman- he lacks the smooth dreaminess of Mulroney's version. He'd be wackily funny, but I'd be hard pressed to believe he was irresistible to men and women!

One of the best parts about the Carol of the Bells piece was watching it again as an adult and going "holy crap! It's NPR"

I feel the same. When I was a kid, I felt like it was the most boring part, but as an adult it's one of my favorites. This is one of my favorite nostalgic holiday specials bc I enjoy different parts more now that I am an adult.
