The first Gelbart pilot was included on one of the DVD collections, which we got for my then 10-or-so year old daughter, who'd enjoyed some episodes she'd seen.

It's also among my favorite early '70s blaxploitation movies.

Unfortunately, nobody wants to buy M&Ms that you found at the bottom of a pond, even for a few cents each.

Something like that, but my accent is fake.

Those are precisely the effects I was going for in my own, improvised way. Thanks for offering your actual expertise.

Only because we're having a blizzard here. In the Spring, the plastic panels come right out!

So… That '80s Show With The Geek?

Well, that and "Lewy Body Dementia", but I don't mind lumping CBS together with a degenerative disease.

In the interests of geek accuracy, I would point out that the F-15 entered service after the end of the Vietnam war. The most common napalm strike planes would have been F-4s and A-4s, and perhaps some A-37s and prop-driven A-1s.

Maintaining a seal on the hose while trying to breathe would be a further complication. One might expect that Teddy could have found an old diving helmet somewhere in their seaside town, but… you know… planning.

Actually, many courses with water hazards leave a pole nearby with a little basket at the end to help golfers recover balls without even getting their feet wet. I'm not sure how many do though, unless they can actually see the ball, given the time and effort required. So that would create an opening for anyone

Good catch! I used a six-ball unit to better reflect the "waste space" issue, but neglected to multiply the unit result by six balls-per-unit. I'll revise my answer accordingly, and credit you as the "expert".

And probably sits on a Canadian sofa!

It does baffle me when movies drum on a specific point that isn't especially important, and may not even make much sense. It seems like any audience would pretty quickly get the point that the film is set during Prohibition without constantly referencing "1933!" Unless FDR's inaugural and Hitler's Chancellorship were
