I'd say goodbye to Amazing Race coverage, and good riddance to Von Doviak.

Don't think so, but I believe the first episode is free on YouTube if you want to give it a try.

I really loved this pilot, especially the nearly wordless first 20 minutes or so. As for Melissa George, surely I can't be the ONLY one who loved her on Alias.

I'm just not sure what there is to digest about an SNL episode. This review is still much more substantial than some on this site (ahem, anything by Margaret Eby).

I think the problem is that the flashbacks feel especially pointless this season. Last year they were fun since they were our only glimpse into fairy tale land, but now I'd much rather see what Snow and Emma are up to in that regard. Both last week and this week, the flashbacks mostly told us things we already know.

While I still think a B- was much too harsh for last week's episode, this review is spot on. I wondered who Damon was talking to at the end, and when they showed he was at Alaric's grave it was like someone grabbed my heart and twisted it. So emotional.

For those of us who are enjoying this show so far (me!), but know nothing about the comics, which books would you AV Clubbers recommend picking up?

I love the idea of these Shout! Factory horror blu-rays, but even a slasher lover like myself wants nothing to do with the likes of Terror Train and Halloween 3. The Funhouse is decent, but I wish they'd release some stuff that's more worthwhile.

So do you dislike any movie where someone gets drunk? How about movies where people drink too much caffeine?

I'm only partially ashamed to admit that me and three of my friends completely enjoyed this movie, despite what Rabin says. If you're able to embrace the cheese, and there is A LOT of cheese, it's really quite fun.

Exactly what makes the writer of this episode seem gay?
