Ron and Sam…AGAIN
The one and only thing I find fascinating about the Groundhog Day Ron and Sam drama is how it shows the inherent limitations of this reality show format. A scripted show would NEVER go back to this exact same storyline every single season. They might drag out a will-they-or-won't-they for many years,

I wouldn't mind Sutter's asshole crybaby-ness so much if his show were better, but he appears to have no perspective on it whatsoever. Look at Dan Harmon. He's also a big pile of crazy, but his show is genius so he can get away with it.

I'm sorry to be the one to inform you, but you and your brother are both homosexuals.

Sons of Assholery
Kurt Sutter sounding off like an asshole on a topic he has no first-hand knowledge on? This is shocking news, indeed!

RIP
I've never read any of his work, but I have a friend who's a YA author and says Sleator's work was influential in getting him hooked on genre fiction. I'm now interested in reading some of his books, though it's sad he had to pass away for me to hear about him. I guess it's better to discover a great author

I hear ya, Anya. I love Newsies AND the HSM movies, so Kenny Ortega is all right in my book.

Confused
I've been following the TCA chatter among critics on Twitter this year, and for the life of me I can't figure out the point of this week-long event. Why do all the networks present their new shows to TV critics, especially when the critics are going to snark on everything they see in 140 characters or less?

Question
Has anyone who's not famous ever been diagnosed with "exhaustion"? I'm wondering if I can get a doctor's note for that shit and get out of work for a few weeks.

Great Game
I'm loving this game so far, though I'll definitely agree that the puzzle levels are punishingly hard. Not unfairly or impossibly so, but still difficult.

Opinions vs Opinions
Great discussion about how to react when you're completely out of step with the opinion of the masses. As someone who's a huge fan of shows like Glee and True Blood, I've had to ponder this a lot recently. My conclusion is this: I can see the complaints people have about these things, and I can

Yes
This remains the only pre-Eccleston Doctor Who I've seen. It was, um…interesting, I guess?

Hmm
This would be more exciting if it were going to be AMC's Bag of Bones. I don't expect much from the network that airs Hoarders and that Prison Break sequel.

To be fair, there are mice with louder voices than Nathan Rabin. Half the fun of these podcasts is seeing if he'll ever learn how to speak properly.

I can't disagree that he's all style, no substance, but I also can't think of a time when Rodriguez has even aimed for substance. He seems content with making dumb fun, and I think he succeeds most of the time.

No Big Loss
Having recently suffered through Sucker Punch, I can only hope this gives them time to remove all the Zack Snyder-ness from the movie. Maybe take out the scene where Superman fights gargantuan robo-geisha mechs in epic slo-mo while a dark, industrial cover of "Hungry Like the Wolf" plays on the soundtrack.

Awkward, Indeed
I'm a gay guy, so distinguishing between blandly attractive white boys is very easy for me, and is probably how I spend most of my time. However, I have the exact same issue with many blandly attractive females, so much so that my friends make fun of me for having "vagina blindness". I can seriously

Epic Bitchery has just pointed out the main reason I still watch this increasingly shitty show.

TV Critic Ramblings
The thing I find most interesting about this review is the notion that there are some shows a TV critic just won't "get". Unfortunately, I think this notion is wasted when talking about Rizzoli & Isles, because it's the type of show no one expects critics to praise.

What's Funnier?
Hasselhoff or people who think Sons of Anarchy is one of TV's great dramas?

Tosh.Suck
Thank you for summing up all my issues with this terrible, terrible show. I don't find Tosh's bitchy robot persona funny at all, yet this is inexplicably the most highly rated show of this particular genre. I just don't get it at all.
