I can't find it in iTunes, and therefore this podcast does not officially exist.

John Woo Can Suck It
I really hated when Angel did the slo-mo action sequences. It was embarrassingly cheesy, and I believe they dropped it come season 5 if memory serves.

Pop Culture Conversation
If my Twitter feed is any indication of the pop culture conversation (and of course it's the be all, end all), then the only scripted shows people seem to watch live are Game of Thrones and True Blood. I'd imagine that's because both shows are great at what-will-happen-next, cliffhanger-heavy

Agreed. I'm not really into either Gaga or Adele music-wise, but this article perfectly summed up their respective popularity. Gaga is kind of like a Michael Bay-directed summer spectacular (in 3D, of course, to drive up those all important box office figures), whereas Adele is more a word of mouth sleeper hit.

Discuss!
You know what show had far more theme episodes in its second season than Glee?

STOP INSISTING ALL SHOWS BE GOOD. JUST LIE BACK AND TAKE IT, BITCHES.

Immaculate, it's possible you work in an office with characters from ABC's new hit comedy "Work It". You may want to investigate.

I'd just like to know why straight dudes have such a hard on for Ryan Reynolds. And yes, it is only straight men. All the women and gays (myself included) I know can't stand the guy.

Weak Week
I don't really care for either of these episodes, I gotta say. This is where Angel season 4 starts to lose me, though "Spin the Bottle" will soon be bringing the greatness.

I Heard…
Lips are like assholes…everyone has a pair! Though to be fair, women actually have two pairs of each.

cottagecheesecottage: You make a perfect point about the end of season 2, which has one of the most ridiculous mystery wrap-ups I've ever seen. All that was missing was some mustache twirling!

The voiceover does get toned down. I think I once saw this pilot described as watching a book on tape, which is about right. The VO is much less intrusive and annoying beginning in episode two.

I agree with Carrie: Watch season 1 and go no further. Pretend it got canceled there and all will be well!

A Classic-ish Series
The first season of this show is indeed a TV classic, but I think the other two seasons are best left forgotten. Also, I think this pilot is kind of a terrible start to the series. It's just one epic exposition dump, and not a particularly well done dump at that.

Yeah, that "no bad Pete and Pete" line made me realize there's no reason to come back and read these recaps. I'd like some actual analysis and not just "every episode is great!" fanwankery.

TV Autopsy DOES sound awesome. It'd be kind of like a "Brilliant But Canceled" feature, except not necessarily with the brilliant part.

Greg Grunberg
Man, I really used to love this guy, what with Felicity, Alias, and all his other Abrams-related cameos. Then came Heroes. The worst part of that debacle was Grunberg insisting that the show was fantastic until the bitter end, which really made me question his sanity and taste level. Maybe he'll make a

BSG is sci-fi, which means the real-world political subtext won't matter whatsoever when people watch it decades down the line. It's easy to enjoy a show like Star Trek or The Twilight Zone now days without knowing a single thing that happened in the 1960s, and I think BSG will age similarly. Of course, the subtext

Eh…
This trailer looked really shitty anyway, so I say move it straight-to-DVD and get it over with.

I made it through the entire first season in fits and starts before giving up on the show altogether. My friends assure me it gets much better in seasons 2-3, but I figured if I couldn't get into the first 22 episodes then it probably wasn't worth the trouble.
