I'm saying that once SATC, Twilight, and those terrible Sandra Bullock movies were huge hits there was an epic spate of articles about how SHOCKING it is that women go to the movies.

Trashy Soaps FTW!
The "OMG, black people watch TV" comments remind me of all the "OMG, women go to the movies" articles that popped up after Sex and the City was a big box office hit. No shit. Build something not aimed at teen boys, and you may just reach a different audience.

Just Wondering…
I wonder if a Netflix series would ever have a chance in hell of being Emmy nominated. Would it even be eligible? Put a movie star in a new HBO drama series and it'd be Emmy catnip, but how would that work here?

When I think "squinty, giant-faced douchebag" I immediately think of Mike Isabella from Top Chef.

Woods?
I may have missed the explanation on the show, but why the hell is w3 followed up with "Woods - Wings - Waffles"? Woods? Tiger Woods? Does the restaurant serve wood? Is it going to be located in the woods? I'm surprised the judges didn't harp on this more, and I love Todd's comment about w3 sounding like a

Yes, comparing this song to "Party in the USA" is insulting.

America seems to be averse to creating any animation aimed at adults. Sad, but true.

I think we've all made Charley One-Eye look suitably ridiculous. Yay!

I've Seen These Movies
So he's directing My Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen 3? Sweet!

I'm shocked by this revelation that fanboys are complaining about something on the internet. Unprecedented!

'D' May Be Generous
I never watch The Simpsons, but I did see most of this episode while waiting for Bob's Burgers to start. Let's just say I still have no plans to watch The Simpsons.

To Read or Not To Read?
I've always wanted to read this series, but I can't find anyone, anywhere who likes the last 3 books. Is it worth diving into?

Solid Finale, But…
I've always enjoyed Southland, but something stops it short of being Great Television in my eyes. As Phil mentioned in the review, maybe it's the lack of tight plotting and an ongoing arc to tie things together. Season 3 improved things a bit in that regard, but this still feels like a show where

No Thanks
Having only seen Michael Chiklis in No Ordinary Family and the Fantastic Four atrocities, I can't take the guy seriously. How did fans of The Shield manage to avoid tittering every time he walked on screen?

No incest? Well, I won't be downloading.

Great episode of Bob's Burgers this week. Easily made up for the terrible dinner theater ep.

Rowan, you make a good point about how defenders of season 6 can often personally relate to many of the events therein. I went through a bout of depression in my early 20s that really mirrors what Buffy experiences throughout the season, and that's why it stands out as my favorite season of the show.

I absolutely love Shameless. But yes, Episodes is quite terrible.

Kangaroo Jack
I was actually hoping the cowboys would be the first to go, as I've found it impossible to root for them since reading the famed reports about Jet's homophobia. Ugh, they make me feel icky just watching them.

Don't tell anyone, otherwise they'll just steal another award from The Social Network.
