Brit'll Get It!
Due to the new law requiring we cast British actors as all of our American action heroes, this role belongs to either Pettyfer or Fassbender.

Druggy Logic!
My favorite part (aside from the fire-breathing fists, of course) is how Chaim Levine gets no gratitude for creating the show that has supplied Carlos Estevez with millions upon millions of dollars. Instead he's a bastard who is somehow stealing money from Charlie's pocket. Huh?

Fuck Yeah!
I still go through Amelie Gillette withdrawals on a daily basis, so I'm hoping her Office ep will at least be half as funny as her old Top Model recaps.

These AV Clubbers live in America, where you can't expect us to know anything about "Doctor Who" unless it occurred from 2005 on.

Also, if Community fans need an over-hyped, bizarrely popular, inexplicable critical darling to hate on, Modern Family is always available.

Can't We All Just Get Along?
I guess I'm one of those rare people who watch and love BOTH shows, though I enjoy Glee just a smidge more since it hits more of my personal sweet spots. Fascinating article.

Black Dahlia?
I'm so baffled by this AV Club insistence that Sofia Black D'Elia is a good actress. She hasn't delivered one line believably in 6 episodes. Granted, if you're comparing her to James Newman she's practically Kate Winslet, so perhaps we're grading her acting in the same manner that Rowan grades episodes

Shia LaBeouf Has the Word of God!
I was talking to a friend the other day about how the world dodged a bullet when the D.J. Caruso "Y: The Last Man" adaptation failed to materialize. But THIS? This may be even worse.

Actually no, the pilot version of "Don't Stop Believing" is far superior. FACT.

So…
This is one of the last episodes of The Simpsons I remember watching as it aired. Have I missed much since then?

While I can't disagree with much an owl pointed out, I can disagree about the pilot being a promising start.

Remember When…
Didn't they used to show little snippets from all the performances while reading the nominees? I miss that. It seems that showing a few seconds of the performances would make more sense than a montage devoted to Hollywood's Greatest Cock Shots, but whatever.

You sound like a great friend. "Your movies and books were terrible, but BFFs forever!"

RIP
My friend and I both read "Hero" a few years ago, and we had SO many debates about it. He loved it, whereas I thought it was shoddily written, full of plot holes, and generally suffering from first-time-author-itis.

Love Her
I thought Adrianne Palicki was so, SO GOOD on Friday Night Lights. So good that I now have to watch this possibly terrible show, goddammit.

BBC's "Sherlock" Is Ridiculously Awesome
And then there's this.

Suggestion
If you find you regularly disagree with a reviewer here at The AV Club, I have a suggestion: avoid the reviews! I quickly learned to do that with VanDerWerff's insufferable Glee reviews, and my life has been much better off since then. It's certainly better than going into every review thread and

Ugh, Fake Tony
I decided to give up on the show after the "Cadie" episode. Not that it was egregiously terrible, but it also wasn't particularly good, and I knew this one would have a lot more of James Newman's soul-killing performance in it.

I love the whole, "Lady Gaga's inane lyrics and shallow pop songs are really SATIRIZING inane lyrics and shallow pop songs! I mean, look at the outfit she's wearing!"

I find Lady Gaga's "insanity" so staged that it's downright boring. She needs tips from James Franco on how to be genuinely eccentric and interesting.
