If Louie actually mixed its comedy with melancholy I think it'd be better. Instead it tends to have an uproariously funny episode followed by something like "God" or "Bully" that forgets to have any laughs at all. Is it wrong to expect laughs from a comedy series?

Glee Should Be Here
I love so much of this list, but especially the top 3. Also nice to see United States of Tara get some love.

Where's John Teti?
What a disappointing recap. "Jen led the attack" is all you can muster up to say about her epic meltdown? That's it? Maybe you were on a tight time schedule or something, but these reviews need to be fleshed out more.

Book ME, Danno
The first paragraph of this review perfectly sums up the type of show I just can't make time to watch. I've taken both Hawaii Five-O and numerous USA procedurals out for booty calls, and I always lose interest rather quickly. Same with Terriers, actually. With so many great shows to watch, not to

Point for Landgraf
As someone who watched 5 or 6 episodes of the show before giving up on it, I agree with Landgraf's point that it just didn't resonate with many people. I personally prefer more serialized shows that leave me with a need to watch the next episode, and not a show about a couple of dudes I might want

Bird Dog?
Anyone who tries to claim Dollhouse was an underrated gem will get a swift punch in the nads courtesy of my Cumbermuffins. That show was uneven, terribly flawed, about 50% miscast, and a painful reality check for my Whedon-loving soul.

I don't think "indie kids" exist, nor do I think anyone under the age of 17 gives a shit about Once or The King's Speech.

The guy in the acting videos with James Franco is his BROTHER, not his lover. Though I suppose he could be both, they do seem kind of artsy-fartsy.

The CHUD board is devoid of gimmick posters and firsties, therefore it wins.

No Gimmick Posters?
Great start to what will hopefully be a great season. I'm still bitter about That One Guy (Kevin?) winning season 7 of Top Chef, so let's hope this turns out better.

Twin Peaks Deserves Better
I had no idea The AV Club was overflowing with so many bitter Psych fans. I think Simon's review was spot on. This is middle-of-the-road entertainment being broadcast on a middle-of-the-road network, so a middle-of-the-road grade like a C- seems fairly apt.

I killed it by hiding poison inside of Richard Gere, sorry. And to keep things on topic, I find Chuck insufferable but read this review anyway.

The Un-Uncharted
Let me join the nerdy chorus and point out that the Uncharted games do not include Nathan Drake's father, uncle, New York antiquities dealers, or the dude from The Happening.

Kill 'Em All!
One of my biggest problems with this show is how it constantly strains believability by refusing to kill characters. Tara is the latest example, but let's not forget last season when Mohawk Guy got stabbed, Scottish Guy got blown up, and Old Guy tried to kill Clay and received no payback. Most of these

Though I Loved Him in Jade…
A D.J. Caruso "Y: The Last Man" movie sounds almost as bad as a Mark Steven Johnson "Preacher" TV series, so let's just thank our lucky stars these things died.

I have to disagree about Dollhouse, which I felt remained terribly uneven and all over the place until the bitter end. Amy Acker was indeed fantastic on it, though.

I Love Amy Acker, But…
First Dollhouse, then Happy Town, and now No Ordinary Family? She deserves so much better. But I'm still pissed I gave up on the show the same week they decided to have what was apparently a decent episode.

Yee Yee, surely you realize that The Event is already a huge ratings failure and probably can't become much more of one no matter what NBC does to it.

Oh Yeah
An A, really? Even the best shows/episodes around here barely crack an A-, so I'm going to have to disagree with this one. Unless, of course, the finale features a completely nude Hunter Parrish doing the "Hand Jive" from Grease, then by all means an A is warranted.

Interesting thoughts on Atonement. I also love that movie, despite people thinking it was the second coming of Chocolat or some other Miramax tripe.
