I feel like I'm the only one who absolutely hated the Arrested Development revival. I hope this one turns out better.

Yesterday I saw a car parked at my gym that had a DAR sticker on it. I did a double take because part of me just assumed that was a made up thing and people weren't really members of something so utterly…hoity. I guess what I'm trying to say is that Emily Gilmore goes to my gym.

I was annoyed that Jamie hadn't told Cersei to go screw yet, but now seeing that they are apparently getting the band back together…it's just unacceptable.

The very end. The ladies that snatched up Carol and Maggie. Honestly I can't remember if it was the last scene of the show or in the "next week on.." trailer.

See, I'm sort of afraid that Carol will make a deal that will put her in Lucille's path. They are positioning her as everyone's mom again and she's all protective of Maggie. I dunno. I'm not feeling good about it.

At this point, I'm more worried it's going to be Carol. Particularly after they've started setting her up again as everyone's mom. It's going to be some thing where she offers herself up to protect Maggie or some shit and then I'm going to kick a hole in my TV.

Wow, I did not even realize that was her.

Y-y-ya know it!

I'm about halfway through The Night Circus which is just delightful.

When I was in 7th or 8th grade I was taking a jazz dance class and this was our song for the big recital dance. Oh 1988, never change.

Wasteland is the only Dark Tower book I've read. I read it back in high school and totally loved it. Then it was about 100 years until the next one came out and by that point I'd fallen out of my Stephen King phase. And then word on the street was that the remaining books were all terrible and the story just got

Reptilian-Americans

He's doing his best (worst?) Jesse Eisenberg impression.

They Might Be Giants - Take Out the Trash
Tom Waits - Goin' Out West
Dinosaur Jr. - I Got Lost
The New Pornographers - Broken Breads
They Might Be Giants - Mammal
Tom Waits - Make it Rain
Morphine - Scratch

I hated this episode as much as I loved the previous one.

Yeah, let's face it, smiling, positivity and can-do attitudes are generally the expected norm in the US. It's pretty annoying.

This is sort of tangentially infuriating, but did you see any of the Vermont Teddy Bear commercials they were running in the past couple of weeks?

The aimlessness had a sense of place and character in the books. And there were rules that largely tied people to Brakebills with the learning and study being the main sense of purpose. I don't get that AT ALL from the show.

"I don't know what the fuck you were doing, but here's the alien invasion you missed last week."

Agreed. Nothing they do makes any sense and they breeze by things that could be pretty cool if they spent any time on, instead they invent other shit to focus on that is just boring and pointless.
