I wasn't a huge fan of the TV stuff outside of the opening but did really enjoy The Golden Shot skit.

Police Academy?

I watched the first episode of Brooklyn Nine Nine. This is pretty much the only new series I'm excited for and I thought it was solid. Definitely going to keep watching.

I watched all of S3 of Luther solely for the promised return of Alice. I really do wish the show could have just become the Idris Elba/Ruth Wilson after the first season, but as it is, I'll take what I can get, I suppose. The show was never great to begin with outside of those two things but I still enjoy it.

Since this is all about swapping the two, I'll trade you Titillating Tom Tales for the Imagine Benedict Cumberbatch tumblr.

Since school started for me last week, I've spent most of my weekend trying to get ahead in some online classes but was able to find some time to do other stuff.

The final two episodes of the first series are the best the show has done and will probably ever do. It's really pulpy and the Ruth Wilson/Idris Elba dynamic is pretty great but not much else.

Friday, I saw The World's End and absolutely loved it. Not quite up to the level set by Hot Fuzz, but nothing really is. I think the thing I was most impressed by wasn't the writing, which I was expecting to be great, but the fight choreography. Scott Pilgrim was great in that department but Wright seemed to use the

On Her Majesty's Secret Service is one of my favorite Bond films, probably just after From Russia With Love and Casino Royale, actually.

Friday, I watched the second disk of Orphan Black. Maslany continues to impress me and Allison has really become my favorite. The story is starting to go off the rails a bit, but I'm still throughly enjoying my time with the show.
Also watched and listened to Comedy Bang Bang which were both great as always. Still

I did the same thing with Where the Wild Things Are last week. I don't love it but I'm with you in liking it more than Malkovitch and for an adaptation of such a short book I think it is well done. I really love the visual design and soundtrack, too. Looking forward to Her.

After reading this space for months, I've decided to finally contribute.
Friday: After hearing so much about Tatiana Maslany, I watched the first four episodes of Orphan Black. Was really only going to watch to see her performance but I find myself really getting into the story. Can't overstate enough how right on

I would love to see the footage of Michael Keaton in The Purple Rose of Cairo. It's one of my favorite Allen films and really want to see what made him make the switch to Daniels.
