its just called "Middle Eastern Mythology" by SH Hooke. It's from the 1960s, and I just picked it up at a local used book store that has a great mythology section. I'm about halfway through and almost all of the rest of it deals with Hebrew mythology.

based on this book on ancient Middle Eastern mythology I'm reading, Yahweh basically stole all the other gods' shticks.
