His new Jessica Jones seems pretty good so far too. He should really avoid team books, though.

He can be amazing. I very much would love to see him take on The Legion of Super-Heroes (or maybe just call it the Legion.) He can balance huge casts, fantastic ideas, and strong character moments.

Remender's Uncanny X-Force was pretty amazing, and Wolverine as headmaster of the school was fun for a little bit, but those were both years ago too.

Yeah, I adored Secret Wars. Kinda feel I should've followed my first impulse and used it as an exit ramp from reading Marvel, as it felt like an amazing end to the whole Marvel U story.

Maybe he whispered: "We're gonna replace you with a female, and she'll get your name for some reason, and as her series will be pretty good we can have you star in your own spinoff title after a while, at least until your next movie when you can have your name and own comic back. So just pretend you can't lift the

Does anyone know how I write with the hidden spoiler text? As I have a theory too just based on the idea of their being a twist.

Which DC comics should I be reading? I tried the first issues of some of the recent reboots and found them pretty lacking. Meanwhile Marvel had Vision until recently, has Doctor Strange, and Jessica Jones. The new X-men books and Avengers do little for me though (Champions seems kind of fun, if that counts as an

I only agree with her in that I think people are better off going after him for his policies and not his personality or crazy (or bullying) statements. There was a great piece by an Italian scholar on how Italian liberals finally defeated Berlusconi by not arguing about his character but about the issues he supported…

1) Boring Meryl Sleep.
2) Out of Touch Meryl Streep
3) Smug Hollywood Liberal Meryl Streep Mocking America's Favorite Sport (especially as the Superbowl will likely feature The Patriots vs. America's Team.)

I loved almost all of her speech except that weird slam of football and MMA. Sports at their best can be incredibly dramatic, awe inspiring, moving, etc. Just like film. Sure, they're not art in the traditional sense, but a weird thing to seem to attack. There was even room to mention that in some sports, like

Fallon definitely deserves all the crap he gets for how he treated Trump on his show. Or for even having him on. But Colbert also had him on and didn't confront him on his already openly racist rhetoric, so it was equally gross.

You're right. I still have that image of him, but it's outdated. Just like if Wayne ever stops being this annoying version of himself it will take a while to just enjoy him again as the weirdo bon vivant who loves what he does so much, as he worked as a fry cook for over a decade while dreaming of living this life.

Yeah, I love him overall but he's become that friend who is way too proud of the fact that he does drugs. Miley does it too but she's super young so I give her more leeway. Both talented for sure, but maybe talk about it less and just let the art reflect it if that's your deal (see also Grant Morrison.)

Love Paul. On Letterman he managed to be both almost hip and knowingly kitschy at the same time. Just odd, super talented, and wonderful.

I hadn't see this before. Great job AV Club!

I can't wait for the sequel, "Book Club".

The Foo and Goo Tour with opening acts Hoodoo Gurus and Hüsker Dü? The Foo Goo Hoodoo Dü Tour!

Weird for them to announce their lineup same day as Coachella announcements, no? Foo Fighters and Tom Petty are kind of similar to me. Both do fun, if not ground breaking rock and roll with some really great singles.

NBC tilts to the right, FOX News picks Hannity over Kelly and keeps them on the ultra right. Happy 2017!

Thankfully it's not against the law, but a respected publisher doesn't have to be the one to offer the author such a huge deal or publish his book. Let him self-publish. Give Leslie Jones a book deal. She's funny as hell and has a perspective that I think people would be interested in hearing.
