If I only watch Supergirl, should I bother watching the other parts of the crossover? I know the characters from comics, and remember the Invasion event fondly, but haven't watched the shows.

A Few Good Men was pretty great. He overuses certain tics — the Mamet-style saying back what was just said, the big speech at the end — but he is talented as hell.

Less aping natural speech patterns and more aping Sorkin and Mamet (more the latter.)

The percentage of people who voted for him because they actually liked him (as opposed to those who voted for him because they hated Hillary or just wanted to put in someone who will help make abortion illegal regardless of his other attributes), will not care. They are in a media bubble that will defend him forever.

I always liked her recurring Penelope skit (the character who has to one-up everyone) but the rest I found annoying, too. And yet she's a delightful presence in movies and can do really good dramatic acting, too. Weird!

As mentioned above, playing Trump as dumb and lazy (not wanting to do the work) kind of lets him off the hook.

I agree. She's awful. She gained money and power by knowingly help get an unqualified demagogue elected. She should not be portrayed sympathetically (even if the jokes were good.)

It seems he did watch the video of the speech (as he criticized the speaker not knowing his lines). And of course rather than engage with what was said — the real fears of the citizens of the country he will preside over (ugh) — he is only concerned with the perceived slight. Good times.
