Castaways and Cutouts?
Picaresque did not have a strong narrative arc and neither was it bogged down by the pretension that The Crane Wife and Hazards of Love displayed occasionally. The two songs mentioned from Castaways were great for sure, but the rest of the album was simply not as consistent as Picaresque.
