Actually Ilyn Payne was none other than Wilko Johnson from Dr. Feelgood!

It's somewhere on the intersection of Talking Heads, David Bowie and LCD Soundsystem. Which is a great place to be.

Yeah, the darker synth sounds from Deep Blue are in there as well

The "lorry driver" comment presumably comes from the fact that, pre-Bond, one of Connery's more notable roles was in <i?hell drivers<="" i="">.

Leverage with Idris Elba and Ruth Wilson would probably be the best show ever.

I wish this comment were pinned to the top of every comments section.

I think I went to school with #1

Otis Redding - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction
Clint Mansell - We're Going Home (from the Moon soundtrack)
Johnny Cash - Home of the Blues
Belle & Sebastian - Funny Little Frog
Maddox Brothers and Rose - Honky Tonkin'
Wilco - Hate It Here
Kanye West - Paranoid

oboy

I think the singer was called out as not being authentic by Jake Bugg of all people in the NME and had a pretty funny reply.

What's even better is Bublé doesn't ruin it!

I'm so glad that Steven sings 'Sound of Your Voice' despite it being a Kevin song, because it's wonderful and I really don't want his voice ruining it…

His stand up always seems like a less self-aware Stewart Lee.

Uh, that's the Kid Rock song right? Just plays the backing of Werewolves of London verbatim whilst he sings really, really terrible lyrics about the 'good old days' or some shit.

Well, for the films mentioned I'd suggest a fourth option: not great. They weren't bad enough to be terrible, but not good enough to be completely worth watching.

I am imagining his lawyer as Maurice Levy

I like the Nevermind one because the original mixes sound better than the actual album ones.

So not the owner of Sun Records then?

Yeah, a miniseries would work better than a film as they'd have time to slowly introduce the supernatural elements and develop the characters. As a film it would seem rushed and unsatisfying.

Or second-hand vinyl.
