@avclub-d72f705337e5adcf7e33ec0381c5f5b2:disqus I guess 'Neolutionism' is a weird, cult-y, trendy alternative to/subset of Transhumanism. A lot of movements have fringe groups that bolt their dubious beliefs onto the basic philosophy.

Could be a number of reasons like them wanting to give their group a made up name (one that hasn't got baggage from other series/films/books), or them worrying some people would mistake transhuman for transsexual and send them complaints over negative representation.

Man, it's like a youtube comments section here.
