You don't know what kind of people they have at the U.N. I might go up in their estimation.

So this review has footnotes?
Classy. But where's the references section?
A great album so far
I haven't listened to the whole thing yet (I keep going back to Waving Flags) but my first impression is that this is at least as good as The Decline Of… and the best parts of Open Season.
Good lord, I'm about to defend Yoko Ono
Or not defend her so much as criticize Lennon Murphy. Trademarking the name "Lennon" not only seems legally unjustifiable, but just kind of a dick move.
Knowing someone else has looked at the back of the Lebowski DVD and thought "who the fuck wrote this?" just made my day.
Three Dog Night references: Always cool
Should be an interesting day around Massachusetts Avenue tomorrow. And as an under-35 Petty fan, I could've gone for Mary Jane's Last Dance.
Never really understood autographs
Are people afraid their stories about meeting a celebrity won't hold up in court?
No, sweet jesus no you are not missing out. Everyone loves this movie because the "idea" of it is great. Outside of a few good jokes, however, the premise is squandered. I was thoroughly disappointed.
Song Titles That Need To Be Retired
Thanks Esthero, but we've already got a Half a World Away. And it's pretty awesome, so name yours something else.
"Spirit in the Sky" by Norman Greenbaum. We get it, the '60s were far out, man….
Emily, that made me laugh out loud. Just the image of Chuck Lane walking into a Jedi Council meeting and shouting at Anakin "I really wish you'd stop saying that!"
Here's to comic strips!
Get Fuzzy and Doonesbury aren't what they used to be (or maybe I'm just not what I used to be), but they're still good for a smile or laugh most of the time.
Some of "you"?
That's a bold statement there, Mr. O'Neal.
If Mermaid Avenue is any guide
This will feature exactly one unbelievably great song, some pretty good ones, and plenty I never need to hear again.
This penguin!
Schwimmer's line about how leaving the refrigerator uses enough energy to kill a penguin was funnier than anything he ever said on Friends. Great line, genius episode.
Since when is talking bad?
You're impugning a film for its similarity to The West Wing and My Dinner With Andre? I'm almost afraid to ask what you think of All The President's Men.
Nice post
I guess ripping Leno for the quote "Without them, I'm not funny" would've been too easy.
…that gain power from their lack of it?
That's so true it's false.
South Park
I can't wait till Trey and Matt evenhandedly apply their right-wing philosophy to the lampooning of this strike.
The spoiler alert
I kind of wish the spoiler alert had been a bit more than a grammatical speed bump in the middle of the sentence.
