I agree. I think too many people wrote off Patrick and the show because he wasn't Mulder, but he was actually a very interesting character and there will still some damn good episodes in the later seasons. Not consistently, but they were there.

I agree with various people about the final ad. That 21 minutes of incompetence led to a professional-looking ad was ironic, but kind of shattered the verisimilitude of the episode.

I'd just like to third this motion. It's frustrating that hambone theatricality was validated twice over at the Oscars, and the one guy who actually gave a superb, restrained, performance was ignored and is now resigned to underwear commercials.

Not much to say
I just want to second all those who have singled out Reckoner as amazing. Not only is it flat-out a great song, but it's rewarding to devotees because you can really hear the through-line from Amnesiac (Crusht, Knives Out) and Hail to the Thief (There There, Scatterbrain).

How happy this made me. All the jokes clicked for me, and the giant check made out to SCIENCE was absolutely hilarious. I think I missed a few lines of dialogue afterward because I couldn't stop laughing.
