Michael always tries to be what he thinks is cool. And so he tries to adapt; in this case, he tries to adapt and becomes someone straight out of a VH1 dating reality show.

He didn't look very red-tinted to me.

Let me be the first to say… you didn't know who Frank Zappa was?

Best thing?
They were actual local news anchors here in Albuquerque and KOB Channel 4 is… actually KOB Channel 4.

Have we forgotten that The Wedding Bride comes out this May? Only a few episodes away!

Not when he was aware of her presence.

At least she wasn't eating ribs in her sleep.

Cultural Reference; it was from a scene in The Color of Money.

But as we all learned from the "crazy eyes" episode (aka the one that Marshall and Lily got back together in) it is way more fun to hang out in a bar than a coffee shop.

It wasn't an overeager cousin, it was one of his law school buddies, Brad.

Yeah, he was the cousin. And I like how Burn Notice has handled the "related person finds out about other person's secret life" with Maddie.

Bill Simmons, aka The Sports Guy at ESPN, calls the person "That guy."

The beaker callbacks were awesome.
I love how in the background of every scene, there were people using beakers as cups for coffee, as places to put their pens, etc. One of my favorite things about BOT is how they do all the subtle callbacks.

The writers have pointed out before that at some community colleges you can get a bachelor's degree. So that signals what they are thinking with the show.
