Agreed. Tonight and last week have been the only episodes of the entire series that I've enjoyed.

Yeah, I was shocked to see the grade for this one. I've been nothing but critical of this, since I found the first season to be entirely terrible, and this was the first episode of SHIELD I legitimately liked.

But Jessica Biel is supposedly in the running for the part. Do you think someone of her acting talent would let themselves be a token female character?

Really fucking good? With all the great stuff on television there is no way any part of SHIELD season one could be called that. It was an F pre-Winter Soldier and maybe a D+ after that.

I've got the DVR set, but I wish the critics got sent more than the pilot so we'd have a sense of if the show is actually any good.

Eh, the show was pretty much DOA so the ads were coming down soon anyway most likely.

And that would be a true shame, because The Bridge is great. But I won't be mad at FX if they cancel it because its ratings, as you note, are terrible.

Or maybe sometimes great shows just fail.
