Yep.  The doom and gloom whining from critics just shows how little one should pay attention to them when it comes to renewal stuff.

A really great show, and I'll miss it, but the ratings were so terrible this season that I can't say I'm surprised. 

I'm in the same boat.  I don't want to be more than a year behind on my favorite shows and I watch way too much stuff for anything other than a cable/sat subscription to be cost effective.

Agreed.  Netflix sacrificed a ton of future media coverage by releasing the entire season of House of Cards all at once.

I couldn't agree more @avclub-6f2918fcd0f193a9e0dcc0337775b148:disqus .  The dearth of chatter about House of Cards is pretty noticeable and I'm not sure how Netflix will be able to avoid this if they insist on releasing entire seasons of their original programming all at once.

Premiered okay (1.2 demo), dropped 33% last night to a 0.8 demo.  If it keeps dropping it will be in some serious trouble.

It won't hold and even if it did it's dead with a 1.1.

Girls' paltry ratings suggest otherwise.

Mockingbird Lane would have been a flop too.

Rubicon never rose above mediocre and the "strong" third season of Walking Dead is still miles below it quality wise.

Good AMC show?  They haven't launched a good show since Breaking Bad in 2008.
