I definitely agree on Dr. Crusher. The way Geordi, Guinan, and Picard interacted with the character eventually led them to change their minds. But Dr. Crusher was just ridiculously insistent from the get-go, with no evidence to support the idea that he wasn't a mindless assimilating/killing machine.
