Chartex, I offer this rebuttal - they took Han Solo and made him suck. How does this NOT make for a terrible episode?

Devil's Due was a P2 story? It's the first one I've heard of that I actually liked. Even though you kind of had to wonder how they didn't figure it out earlier considering how much more badass the Enterprise was than her ship.

The only piece of his stand-up I can remember actually laughing aloud at was the "literally" routine. I've noticed that I feel like most of his stand-up relies too much on either shock-value or just spewing hate to be funny. I also think all the other stuff from Bob Odenkirk I've seen has just been too random to be

@Ellsworth (and Zack) - I just joined this website about a month ago, and it's because of these writeups. I've checked out a few of the others, but this is definitely what keeps me coming back.

I definitely do not remember hating S7 as much as everyone seems to. I'd like to start following along with the episodes for S3-7, so we'll see if I still feel that way. The only thing I can think of that was even mildly weird about S7 was the *SPOILER ALERT* Worf-Troi thing. But I thought even that was only somewhat

I don't remember watching "Conspiracy" for the first time. I think I was too young to watch TNG (or TV in general) before around S3 or 4, so the first time I watched "Conspiracy" it would have been in hindsight, and I was obviously used to seeing the best TNG has to offer. Suffice to say, though, "Conspiracy" hasn't

I was just wondering
-For subtitles: How do French people feel about the fact that the French guy has a British accent?
-For the dub: How's the voice acting? Seems like it would be hard to replace said "French" guy's acting, even though obviously a lot goes into it besides the voice.

Oh! But one part that was a little nicer in that regard… I just remembered the "Darmok" episode, and thinking back to Picard's choice of a tale. It was cool that he chose Gilgamesh instead of going for some more obvious Shakespeare or Chaucer reference.

But is there someone who does that on every naval vessel, and further, are they also intimately familiar with the details of medieval history?

I definitely agree on the Troi comment… Again, Guinan may have been a little hokey a couple times, but I still really like her, and she adds the kind of insight Troi SHOULD be adding all the time. Instead Troi just states the blatantly obvious and when she's actually needed, she gets shown up by secondary characters

Season 2
I know most of the TNG episodes by heart, with the exception of S1 and S2. I was thinking of picking up the S2 DVDs to follow along. IIRC, it really does get better in S2, but not by enough to really call it great.

I'd say if you have low tolerance for Trek you should definitely wait til S3

Yeah, I would like to know more about what earth was like in the 24th Century. IIRC, DS9 had more earth shots than the rest… It was cool to hear about how transport from anywhere to anywhere else on earth was instantaneous, but I also wondered about the "transporter credits" - bringing the question of whether that

Is the French version dubbed or subtitled?

So the borg timeline… Q shows them the borg, the borg are made aware and come after them, then there's a huge invasion, the borg go back in time and are defeated, and then reactivated and send a message to the delta quadrant… So… was it Q, or future borg in the past that alerted the borg to the federation?

At least there's some continuity… Picard's fencing, Riker's trombone, Keiko's botany, etc… The thing I really hate is that 20th Century earth history (particularly the West) is apparently a REALLY popular hobby in the 24th century.

I remember really liking some of those late episodes, but now I can't remember if they were S6 or S7… I'm thinking the one where Worf experiences multiple dimensions, as well as the one where Riker gets stuck in his one-man play where he's insane.

She was pretty good in that one Dexter episode

There's probably thousands of blue milk farmers on Tatooine who get power converters from Tosche station. Obviously that quote was from one of the many who had a mom.

If you ruin that episode for me I will hate you forever.
