I thought his hosting skills were fine actually…the contestants seemed to be particularly awkward this time around, and he kept cutting them off when they started to meander. Did we really need a longwinded rehash of a twitter fight? And how long was it going to take LJ to find a polite way to say "I'm drowning in it"

I don't like being lumped in with Jim. Two totally different people can dislike the same person.

Me too. "Backstabbing" is part of the game and not necessarily a reflection on someone's attitudes in their normal life. It bewilders me that there are still people who think differently.

Oh, Spencer, I didn't recognize you with your changed avatar.

Super interesting theory. I'm more of a Big Brother fan (just in the sense that I like the structure of the game better….the show itself is usually horrible), and the week-to-week player is already a standard there. I never noticed how little it translated to Survivor.

That's disappointing and surprising.

Yeah…it's like poker. The best you can do is minimize the luck, which Tony did extraordinarily through idol finding and maneuvering. But there will still always be a luck factor.

I'm going to be smug for a second here: He got a good edit. Some people can see through the edits. And some people can't.

I disagree. Though it was probably already too late, Kass made another dunderheaded move by saying she might bring Woo and making Tony nervous.

Was LJ's hat stupid? He was ridiculously good looking with it and, uh, not so much without it. I think maybe it has magical properties.

I thought it was clear they were just having carthartic and/or good airtime moments like most tribal councils do. I was never in doubt that Tony was going to win by a landslide. The only question was whether or not Woo was going to get 0, 1, or 2 votes.

I never confined it to this board alone, though he's getting plenty of love and credit here as well, in addition to all the nauseating attention he got at the reunion.

From my perspective, the Spencer love fest is out of control and I'm just fighting the good fight.

So this post of yours wasn't meant to get the last word in?

OK. You're wrong, but ok. Have a goodnight.

Sorry, I disagree. I think it was petty, sure, but I think it was done under duress. I could see myself doing something like that, so maybe I'm quick to excuse it.

Kass controlled a few votes in the game. Spencer controlled none.

It's almost as if Spencer isn't really all that strategic of a player, and just gets credited as such because that's how he presents himself.

I'm really torn on the Colby and Woo decision to bring along the better player. It's a sportsmanship decision and not a game theory one, and it irritates me when people act like it's a unquestionably dumb move because it's not in line with their own values.
