This sounds like a cross between _The Dark Tower_ and Tim Powers' _Last Call_. But probably not as good as _Last Call_.

@avclub-e773dbc579a0ef997675d836974d747c:disqus , I'm not entirely convinced he meant to kick him into the engine.  As I recall, he does wince after that happens, almost as if it was accidental.  Of course, the wince could have also been sympathy for the (very brief) pain.

Is it my imagination, or has Boyd had his knuckle tattoos removed?  I did not see them in that otherwise unmotivated closeup of his hands as he slid the money across the table to Limehouse.

As someone who loves George R. R. Martin but is unwilling to carry the new 1000+ page hardcover around (not to mention letting it fall on my face when I fall asleep), I say all hail the e-reader.

SPOILERS

Singin' in Korean.

Yup.

HBO seems pretty committed to the old cable subscription model. When GoT began, I was willing to pay for the shows via iTunes, Amazon, etc., but no joy. Ended up doing what Bean Sean suggested. I know that shows cost money, and I'm willing to pay for them, but christ, not the full HBO subscription with the 80 extra

@Cheese: Thanks, I'd forgotten that part, although with Westeros's ongoing zombie infestation, I'll hold out some tiny hope. If Cat can come back as the Undead Avenger, many things are possible.

"Little brother" might not refer to Jaime or Tyrion. I have a crazy theory about Tommen, enraged after Cersei does something stupid to Margaery, committing a little matricide. But maybe it's wishful thinking, inspired by Cersei's excess of maternal protection and inability to see the right path.

I'm just saying, the newbies are in for a world of hurt. And maybe bitterness is good practice for the rest of the series. It's a marathon of misery, not a sprint.

Um, aimed at the original OP.

Sansa
Did Sansa phrase her plea for her father's life the same way in the book? I didn't remember her bit about "please do this to show me that you (Joffrey) love me." If so, it explains why Ned is dead. Different empahsis, maybe, to make it seem like Joffrey is less randomly evil, more focused on making her life

If only.

SPOILERS:

Did anyone else get the feeling that Art was there because Winona told him she was pregnant with Raylan's kid?

That is to say, I notice mostly because the rest of the visuals are pretty top notch.

The driving scenes usually take me out of the moment. Could they use a more expensive version? It's practically Toonces-level.

Could be that she saw Boyd in a different light once he handed her a big bag of stolen cash. She's not Polly Pureheart— she did shoot and kill her husband.
