Strathairn is the real deal.  I have loved his quirky performances ever since 'Matewan'.  At first he was the only reason to watch 'Alphas'.   Some of the acting is atrocious.  The main reason I watch is Ryan Cartwright.  The thing I like the most is the argumentative nature of the relationships.  Unlike an awful lot

He's irreplaceable so he's got to go.

The problem is that it's a perfect word to describe it.   You want cute?  Doesn't have that negative connotation.  Everyone knows that all hipsters must die, but hipster crap is not always twee.

Redban was much better in the beginning.  Joe seemed to react better to him.  The problem I see now is that there's a flow to the conversation, which he doesn't seem to be paying attention to, and he disrupts it with his tangents.

I disagree with the notion that being a hater means that you are a bully.  I do agree that the show which takes that hate and throws it at the person makes it bullying.  The main thing is that it's ok to hate, just not at the person.  Nobody is free from the hate of others, so why should we expect it to go away?

I miss being able to shout incoherently at the Apple Sisters.

Bloviate, calculate, expectorate, guess your own weight.  Appreciate, formulate, pontificate, at 98 we all rotate.

Apple Sisters.

Why don't you people understand? It is not enough for us to skip to the next one. What if an innocent person should stumble upon the Apple Sisters and find them humorous? I listened to it for 10-15 minutes, and there were parts I laughed at. Luckily I escaped with my sens of humor intact, but other people may not

New Rule at AV Club
If more than 40 people dislike 'Apple Sisters' then we don't have to hear about them again.

I was genuinely surprised how frightening the original movie was. The trailer looked awesome, yet different. They finally picked a good one to remake.

"Tom Cruise and I had this moment. I looked into his eyes, and I knew that he knew what I was doing. All the people around me thought that I didn't know my line. Now this is an Oscar winning performance by Tom Cruise. And I totally nailed it! I knew that he knew I nailed it, and it no longer mattered whether they

I tried that Amazon Premium thing.

She knows how to keep her head down?
Nice BJ joke.

Early vs. Later
From listening to a lot of the early podcasts I would say that the intro was better in the old days, and the interviews are better now. The problem is that he often uses those intros now as justifications for what he's going to say.
