I agree.. That and let's show some respect to actual ideas and composition instead of just looking for "real musicians on real instruments." Eventually you realize that people who say crap like that just don't like anything and believe they're clever for it.

Zooropa is really bold for it's time. Between Auchtung Baby and Zooropa they really got the idea that electronic/dance music was taking over and they needed to go further than adding samples, or drum machines to be modern.

Wait, disco was overplayed? If being over played was the reason disco was kicked to the curb, rock would have been sent out to pasture years ago. Disco, unlike rock, simply developed into other things like New Wave, Madonna, and Euro-Trance.

I can't separate Chris Deburgh from the Mighty Boosh series. In fact I read his name in Bolo's voice. This is one songs that I've listened to closely trying to understand who the target audience was and why they felt this is what they wanted.

The kind of guy that imagines himself as being a calm treat for all ladies and blames being friendzoned for his lack of success.

The ole dressing like you're doing laundry look.

I was in a class with a girl like that. Nice boots, nice coat, make-up, and everything else like she was a few days late on laundry. She also walked around with one of the most entitled attitudes I've ever seen.

It's just one of those albums that fell together incredibly well. The playing is loose, it successfully eschews convention, and their is an earnest intensity to their playing that is difficult to replicate.

Could we stop it with the Nazi parodies already?

One thing I'll add to this is that while I'm watching what I eat, I am also watching what they eat, and there doesn't seem to be that big of a difference. In fact, more often then not I'm told my food is too healthy or I'm asked if I have enough to eat.

I think the root of the problem is the belief that obesity is entirely about 'overeating' when the reality is that it's much more complicated. Some of us have to work a lot harder, and be a lot more conscious of what we're eating to achieve the same body weight as the next person. I don't know how often I've been the

Probably because Frank walked into a store one day and bought something violent and that made him happy.

Wow, A.V. Club kinda sucks at watching movies.

Disagree. Argento wins on production value and having Goblin doing the soundtrack. HGL made a lot of memorable films that are have always been fun to watch.

Yah, really, who could be into horror movies at all and not appreciate why someone would prefer Wizard of Gore over Suspiria? Both have significant take home in terms imaginative script writing, memorable scenes, and moments of pure cheese. Sure, Suspiria has better music and production value, but since when is that

You're only allowed one trip to the Hardset Head per day.

Young people don't realize that jobs are 90% tedium and it's the tedium that you have to be able to enjoy. Anyone can enjoy the spectacularly rewarding aspects of any career. Anyone can enjoy putting the finishing touches on an IOS but do they want to spend thousands upon thousands of hours simply testing, debugging,

This is one of those perspective questions. It's not that Metallica sound like what was on the radio, it's that it moved to doing more conventional things. The songs were basically all verse-chorus-verse, the lyrics were clean, and the production was clean. They also sold themselves as a big stadium band. Their videos

I think if you dig even deeper you'll find that individual lesbians have different sexual experiences with different partners.

I have to second Rock Action and always had a soft spot for Come On Die Young. I lost interest after Mr. Beast as well. Actually, I think I drifted away from the whole post-rock thing and just everything associated with it. I think that's when I discovered kraut rock and started getting heavier into jazz.
