I think it would have been better if Tracy's death had been the start of the finale (or within 5 minutes of the start)… Set the tone early, work through the ramifications (as well as the other character beats that they did include), and then build towards the same ending… Still the same end result, still demolishes

Nothing and everything. It's a bit of a backwater kind of place, and a little blue-collar, and in Wales rather than England. Maybe as an American you could substitute in Delaware? But it became an in-joke in Who because BBC Wales lead the resurrection of the series, so filming moved to Cardiff… Hence all the

Full point off for fornication… Fornication is consensual sexual intercourse between two persons not married to each other (thanks, Merriam-Webster).

It seems to be a reference to @avclub-a044d6c36a065d8a462608968870a23a:disqus at the end of the first conversation in this thread… At least it's at the end now, probably won't be when someone reads this, but such is life.

I think it's the converse point that's controversial - the assumption is that puting a black kid in a diverse school does not adversely affect the educational experience of the black kid. You could also look at the statement as saying that non-diverse schools (i.e. segregated schools) provide a superior educational

But Grilled Cheese and Tomato soup is good… Ketchup isn't that far away from Tomato soup is it?

I got the poor imitation thing as well, with the only odd part of that being the gay stuff… Is Mac impersonating a gay because his cousin is gay & cool?  I don't think so.

I believe the Mother knew who otterloop was without Lilly saying.. Like Lilly said something about teh inventor of belts, and the Mother said "yes, who wants to go to Otto Van Otterloop's house", or some such thing.

Does it make a difference that it's guy-and-guy?  I mean when I was 23, with a degree, and a job, I would have (and did) date anything that aroused my interest.  Didn't really care what the social situation or otherwise was of the woman in question.  Is that just society saying that the man has to be successful, but

Interesting.  I wondered in the final if Aaron and Jasmine were just thinking they had to do really well against their direct competition, and didn't work as hard on their own routines because they assumed they'd do ok.  Watching the finale, though, there did seem to be some distance between them.

So I was curious if the two cases are connected in some way.  Hardy gave the impression that he knows who did the Sandbrook murder, but Hardy covered it up, or someone fumbled the investigation, but I'm beginning to wonder if the killer found here might also be the killer from Sandbrook.

I used to get told Tom Hanks a lot, but not recently.

I'm in.

I'm not sure, but I think sometimes it's lack of confidence in the guy.  Feels insecure about hitting on 20 - 30 yo, since they may snub him, are too pretty / hot / etc., so hits on 40+ on the basis of less likely to play games, more likely to be down for sex, easier to pull (not so much more desperate, but a 23 yo

Wait, how do you tell Ed Harris and Peter Weller apart?  Aren't they the same guy?

I read it as some form of self harm that gives him a rush - cutting or whatever.  Pooping doesn't seem to quite match right because of the pleasure given (although a really good poop does feel good).  The choking idea kind of matches well, too.

Yeah, I think it's a little from column A, and a little from column B.  The show clearly covers some or all of the cost of rehab, which means Joe Public gets to go to a much better rehab than he would of otherwise, and the person makes a pretty public commitment.  I'm guessing the skill of the therapist who runs the

TARDIS take off and landing… Apparently made my sliding a house-key down the G-string of a piano.

You could do a webisode, or just as easily film the elimination the next day, and then have the remaining dancers re-couple for next week's competition, and show that at the start of next week.  I hate the idea of the eliminees working all week for no purpose - and I don't particularly think that makes for good

Maybe the silence were trying to convince everyone that the Doctor died before Trenzalore, in order to prevent people knowing where his real grave was.
