I think you're misreading @avclub-07f2d8dbef3b2aeca9cb258091bc3dba:disqus 's post… He's merely saying that the corporation putting an IP tag in there is not only completely in line with the universe of the show, but also in-line with observable behaviour or corporations engaged in non-similar genetic experiments today

Yeah, probably "the black hole of Calcutta" would have worked better than "a black hole in Calcutta".

It was confusing to me when I thought it was set in the UK that they would have a US detective (Beth is suppsed to be American, right?).  Not that it's impossible, but it would normally have to be explained away in some way.  But now it's confusing to me that most everyone appears to be English?  Shouldn't they

I like the idea that they're genetically altered - hence the opposition of the religious types.  Each clone has been modded to make them special in some way, perhaps originally to produce some super-team of spies, where they could just pick a particular specialist to do a job, GI Joe style.  OK, I don't know GI Joe

What do we think of Emma telling eleven that there's nothing unusual about CLara?  A lie because she distrusts eleven, and wants him to not know / do the right thing, or is it that whatever's mussed up in Clara is not visible to Emma?  Or, any particular Clara is totally normal, and the several iterations of her are

knuckle?

Yeah, same here.  I don't know if it's because I used to watch Upstairs Downstairs, and think it's a retread, or what but zero interest in teh show.

@avclub-6307a12d5c9e2fb5f23518a9a0ee8dd1:disqus But this Clara doesn't have a key, does she?  She didn't try to use one to open the doors.

@avclub-705562aaa4a5b85bfa44373d8e6bf234:disqus   Wow, if that's true, I'll bet the Christian's and right-wingers are disowning that one as fast as possible… It's tantamount to admitting that the hetero marriage laws are there to bribe accidental parents into getting married, rather than being there to allow couples

You mean they're starting to catch up?

(replying to @avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus ).  I don't think Borden being in the basement was shared.  I think Borden being in the basement was engineered by Angier - leaving him breadcrumbs to go find the drowned guy.

They seem to be singing about ups and downs, though… Wouldn't that be closer to a seesaw, or teeter-totter in US parlance?  I could even see swings involved, but most roundabouts…. Go round and round.  Are they singing about a Merry-go-round?

Yeah, play Freebird!

Yeah, play Freebird!

So… Where's the idol review?

I don't understand… Shouldn't all AVC Headlines on this topic be written about "The Star Wars"?  As in "Today in "The Star Wars" runors, JJ Abrams to direct "The Star Wars""?

Does seem like an unneccesary word, though… Isn't digression pretty much the same thing?

Hey, PA, you can do it… I stopped 16 years ago after a particularly disasterous xmas / NYE, and haven't drunk a drop since… Watch out for the time between 1mo. and 3mo, it kind of ramps up to real shitty, but then gets a *lot* better.  Can honestly say I don't even think about it any more.

This kind of show is worse… On this kind of show, HBB is the most important thing in the show's universe.. Actually, I think the Onion article pretty much nailed it.  When her 15 minutes is up, it's going to hit her and her hangers on pretty hard.
