The Cities and the Cities of the Plain?

Is "The Idiots" available on DVD anywhere?
Reading this article and the comments reminded me of how I've never been able to find a copy of "The Idiots." Maybe I just haven't googled hard enough…?

Isn't "A Prayer for the Dying" by Stewart O'Nan written in the second person? It gives it a genuinely haunting tone that left me creeped out for days. That was one of the first books of his that I read, and I've been a fan ever since.

I would start with "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles." It's one of my favorite novels of all time. If I were trapped on a desert island and could only have five books, this book would be at the top of my list.

I totally agree. I was devastated when I read this book. It was so grim, but I couldn't put it down.

Dhalgren
I would love to see David Lynch give the "Inland Empire" treatment to Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delany. There are some parts that are a little dated, but overall I think it holds up pretty well. To do it right, though, it would have to be an NC-17 or unrated movie. It just wouldn't be right to leave out
