I actually thought this was going to be a two hour episode!  It totally felt like it should have been.  Oh Leo…yeah that receding hair makes him look ten years older.

Are you seriously implying that Lea Michele is vaguely acquainted with vulnerability/nuanced acting.  Have you been on the crazy juice?

While I agree that the new opening to Act II was terrible, I feel obliged to explain that the plane scene was not scrapped.  Rather, by starting with Dig Deep in front of the curtain, they were buying more time to get the plane in position before the curtain opens for the show-stopping Public Relations.  At least,

I absolutely agree that this is the best episode Smash has given us this season.  I agree that a large part of its success is due to the plotlines revolving around genuine theatrical issues.  Unfortunately there was as much immaturity and flying off the handle as usual, and sadly it came mostly from Eileen and Tom.  I

I laughed at Kyle's response "I'm good at this now".

I saw that production when it transferred to London.  I'm totally going to tell people I've seen Ivy's snatch.

There is a rule (made to be broken?): never point a gun at the audience.  I was glad Derek referenced it, and I take it that was why she pointed at the centre aisle.

Jeremy Jordan Jimmy Jesse Schmidt, his name is my name too…

Yeah, it was nice to have people listen to explanations and not fly off the handle.  The incongruous part of that is that the whole thing stemmed from Ivy, last week, flying off the handle.  It's a storyline that kind of worked, but the whole thing was so rushed.  Smash often does this.  If it slowed down a little it

I mostly just felt sorry for Derek in this episode, but the final scene made me very very happy.

It had a good flow to it actually, but the stories were unfortunately boring/unrealistic.

The Just Keep Moving the Line.  I cannot get enough of that song!

Oh - and did anyone else laugh at the thought of Bernadette Peters playing Maria?

PS - how bad is Ana's lip-synching?

Wow, I'm surprised by the positive reactions to Ana's song.  I'll give it another go, but I found it pretty boring.  I quite liked her as a character but I have not enjoyed her singing yet.

While I agree that the jacket situation was pretty groan-worthy, I at least applaud the fact that the two characters have had matching jackets since the start of the season.  I thought it was just subtly yelling at us that Derek and Jimmy have a lot in common.  Turns out it was an incredibly long set-up to an

Just when I thought this show could not get any more meta, we have Eileen running around looking for a new story because "conflicts with directors/actors etc…we've seen it all before".

More Ivy love:  to ease the transition into Sam's song we get a close-up of Ivy laughing, apropos of nothing.  When Ivy laughs it's impossible not to smile.

I hate his relationship with Julia.  He's such an enabler for her tantrums and general lameness.  But he's pretty cool when he's with Ivy, so I don't think Tom is the problem.

SETH RUDETSKY!!!!  I so loved that he appeared, even if his cameo quickly devolved into another expository plot-device.
