Regarding piracy, studies show that piracy actually *increases* sales

I took a class in the business of new media and how the content providers (HBO, Showtime, etc) are all in bed with the TV content distributors (cable, dish, etc) so much that it prevents new distribution methods from becoming dominant (Hulu, Netflix, etc).
