I really dug Lydia in season 1, but I'll never buy that she's not actually an uber nerd who can take care of herself. She's tough, but the show needs that damsel sort of. I'm reading the Maze Runner now. It's not… good. It could have been, but the prose is bad. Plot's barely interesting. But I think a movie adaptation could be good at least to get O'Brien more work. He's the one who is most consistently working.

Tumblr is the death of Teen Wolf. Though they have really good graphics, the unnecessary shipping makes me uncomfortable.

It grades against the campy goodness of itself. Also, Teen Wolf really hit the crazy meter  in season two. We enjoy it for the shameless eye candy, insanity, Dylan O'Brien and homoerotic tendencies.

I think it depends on how much credit you can give to 16 year olds. I give them a lot more credit than others. There needs to be a lot self-awareness in order to choose oneself (theoretically) and I think Awkward could pull it off and has been leading up to it with the layers of Matty.
