Yup, that's Ricky Gervais as a character with learning disabilities. It's a gently nuanced performance, subtly launching an arrow to the heart of the politically correct world.

His mommy didn't love him?
In her review, Donna says Walt's blue shirt means he's ready to cook, but did you also notice he and Skyler have been wearing the same color combos the last two episodes? Her sand colored cardigan even had blue piping to match his blue shirt. Wardrobe department, nicely and subtly telling us these two are now in…
Also - that picture above - is that from this episode, or from every single Ray Donovan episode ever?
Why don't you go play Harrison? says EVERYONE to Harrison.
Now Ryan's Dad can appear to Ryan from beyond the grave and teach him how to kill by the code.
It's okay. Dexter can go off to Argentina, and then his Dad will be free to start teaching his son Ryan (friend of Wilfred) to kill by the code.
What The Newsroom has going for it:
Exactly - imho this was the best ep they've ever done. And for those of us who, for whatever reason, have watched from the beginning, it warms the heart to see people discussing normal things about this show, like characters and plot, rather than just say how much it sucks.
Aziz Ansari was physically present for this episode.
Yeah, he should listen to Maeby
Even so, the whole series is feckin' brilliant (Irish accent)
They should get the Italian designer who did all the sweaters, Gianfranco Ruffini, on this. At least 90 percent of all memories of Cosby's success now are sweater-related.
Gianfranco Ruffini, a very popular sweater designer in the 80s, did the one with the guys running track in the photo. He should get more credit for that Cosby look, because probably half of famous sweaters in the entire run of the show are his.
I am delighted to see Charlotte Rampling on Dexter.
I am amused to see Rutger Hauer on True Blood.
I should be pleased with Jon Voight, but this show is such a miasma of cliches, that meh.
It's so everyone in the family is a fish out of watah.
Yeah, I had a real problem with the accent too. Mostly because she sounds like a salt-of-the-earth tough chick, but 1/2 of her lines in the pilot are complaints about how they don't live in Beverly Hills and their kids aren't in fancypants private schools.
He goes like a jackrabbit?
His previous jobs before coming to SC&P were Houseboy and Manservant. So he's probably had to follow through occasionally as he slowly and steadily cons his way up.
I love how now we don't know whether or not Bob's knee-to-knee flirtation with Pete was for real or not. Maybe it was just the first step in "doing a Manolo."
