I'm surprised there's no mention of Phil Hartman. The Newsradio episode dealing with his death is one of the hardest hitting episodes of television I'v seen

Not only that, but it was probably Norma/n that actually did everything. So, in Norman's head it actually was Norma killing herself and that's what he'll tell everybody

How do you feel about MASH?

Wait, wait. Idiotking, don't you mean "That he did surely not"

I know this is a few years late, but I've been re-reading these reviews and I've found your arguments really interesting and persuasive. I wouldn't consider myself in the camp of Tony died, but here's how I've interpreted the final scene. I take it back to the Alzheimer's discussion in Join the Club.

Nah, I don't think so. In the first season Leekie mentioned how that was strictly a neo-lutionist thing. Apparently he answered some question about the the ideal human and said they'd have one white eye and white hair. He was joking but the neo-lutionists took him seriously

Dennis is asshole, why Charlie hate?

I know that in the past they've said they won't cover the old eps of The Wire because they feel Alan Sepinwall's are untoppable, and they are really good

It's screws, but the way Roddy Piper slurs his speech makes it sound like squirrels

Yea, I'm with EG, Walt never actually called the vacuum repair guy. Also I'm thinking he's not just gonna end up in another state. He's probably going to end up in Mexico. Considering the flashforward where Heisenberg was spray painted on the wall of his house I'm guessing there's going to be some sort of manhunt for

He has a nice little cameo in Hot Fuzz too as the farmer with the incomprehensible accent, and the barn full of weaponry

@RedScarab:disqus "Murderer drug dealers"? Like, say, the main character of this show?

It wasn't improvised though. It was planned out carefully. Remember the script she wrote up? She planned out most of that conversation beforehand so that it would seem natural

I knew there was no chance in hell of it happening, but I was really hoping the interviewer would ask Herzog about his opinion of the Paul F Tompkins impression

I really enjoyed the recreation of the audience member's first date game that they played on Improv-a-ganza. It actually allowed for the audience members to play an active, funny role instead of just being set dressing

The staff at the AVclub have mentioned that they don't want to do The Wire write-ups, because they think Alan Sepinwall pretty much already has that covered. And I would agree. I'm not sure if the AVClub really has that much more to add to the discussion of The Wire at this point.

Just popping in to say that these reviews finally got me to start watching The Shield, and that I'll be with you guys for the duration. I'm caught up through the 2nd season, and I look forwarded to joining the conversation during the next couple weeks.

Yup, and I gotta ask, does anybody else always confuse Rachel Blanchard with Heather Graham?
