You hope he doesn't become a gimmicky character? Basically the on line he's had is "Pop pop!" I think it is a little late for that.

Pierce
I thought the line about how his platform is anything high enough to push Viki off to her death was pretty funny.

I thought that was funny, too.

I don't know. Phantom Menace premiered May 19, 1999 (according to wikipedia). The first episode of Spaced was shown on September 24, 1999. If they filmed it over the summer, I think they probably had seen the film. Especially since Chaos was shown in late October. It would have been an easy enough joke to slip in

Because he didn't go to science camp.

It really is the WORST product placement I've ever seen.
Truly God-awful.

The massive amount of Lana-Archer together made up for the lack of screen time of everyone else. All the other character work best with one-liners or short scenes, but Lana and Archer playoff each other so well, they barely needed to be in this episode.

The Africa Queen conversation was epic.

Upon watching it a second time
I just realized Archer stole the barbecue from the boat rental guy.

I voted A+. Comedy gold, from start to finish.

I think that was the beginning of the second episode. "Battles" starts with Tim hunting zombies in the apartment.

You should cut Lana some slack, since she is in the DANGER ZONE!

I'm not sure I can think of a good comparison to Archer. So much of its humor comes from jokes/lines that were used previously, reused in a similar but different context. The only show I can think of that did something like that was Arrested Development (Her?; I've made a huge mistake), but the two shows have very

There was one girl in college we called "Orange girl." REALLY bad fake tan.

And as for Spaced, my least favorite episodes are the first two from Season 1. It only gets better.

I believe that Blackadder was forced to change format a bit after the first season, the result of which was a much better show.

Yay! Spaced!
I love that show. And it only gets better after the first 3 episodes..

I liked the new Spanish terrorists. Too bad they all died/had their faces melted off.

The knife is a metaphor.
