Posted in the other thread, but here are my thoughts:

C+

The fact that they included the cafeteria lady in there is kinda what sparked the idea in my head. She's always there, yet she's not a prominent character. She deals with change. She's a staff member. She's shown in the montage. She is the ultimate suspect, but no one suspects her. Essentially Hannibal in this

That's my biggest problem. If that really was the point of the episode, they did not make it clear at all. That's why I feel like I have to wait out the rest of the season before I can fully digest this episode.

That's kinda why I suspect there's far more to this episode than they showed us. For now I just don't get it, but if they truly were doing a Hannibal parody then there's got to be something deeper that I'm missing. Or at least, I really really hope so.

If this episode ends up setting something else up later on in the season then I guess it's… uh okay. After viewing it, the only thing I feel is that I'm completely missing something. I don't feel it was good or bad, I just feel that something is missing. What the heck was the point. Was there even a point?

I'm more concerned about #1…

If I'm being completely honest I've only seen Man of Steel. It was action porn that somehow figured out how to be boring. I was a bit upset after seeing it, especially since that epic trailer music was the only reason I saw it in the first place.

"Man of Steel > Gravity

I think the only song of his I'm pretty familiar with is the collab song with Converse & Gorillaz where he just yells "I'M THE SHIT" for like 5 minutes straight. aaaand now I have to listen to it.

As someone who doesn't even listen to hip hop, this is pretty exciting. Andre 3000 is one of my favorite people I know very little about.

aaaand now I can log into the AV Club but not the Disqus account.

But… redeeming melody-driven score…

The only exposure I got to Xenakis while in school was a live performance of an Oboe and Percussion duet by him called "Dmaathen". Obviously the two instruments are very rarely heard together in a duet (or even expected to be heard together), so both voices proceed independently throughout the work. They are, however,

Ep.2 of Rick & Morty was amazing. Like the best Community episodes, it had a great balance of self awareness. Much improved over Ep. 1. Plus they cut back a ton on Rick's unsettling drunk burping.

It's likely his most famous/important Non-12 tone work. It's also actually based upon a poem.

Wait…

"…and make appointments with whatever offices at your school handle degree planning and career guidance now. Let these people, who have paid jobs to help you, get you through."

I'm going to be blunt because it worked for me, but just do the fucking work. (Said to me by my advisor when I was having a hard time in my 3rd year of school)

Is the first one pretty good too? I think it's on Netflix, but I haven't gotten around to seeing it yet.
