Lionel: You know something I don't?
Reese, while making a Reese face: Maybe one or two things.

Right? I loved that, as it turns out, the building itself brought on all these memories so Elias talking about it made even more sense. He was in that building he hated and his best friend was about to die. No wonder he opened up (and, of course, gave us Anthony's backstory). These character beats that also work in

I couldn't agree more. In fact, that was the reason I was worried Elias might die, because the show likes to revisit the past when a character goes. Instead, we got that moment of Elias walking off alone. And it was a punch in the gut.

I really was too. It's in those moments I realise just how sci-fi PoI is and how a scene like that would not surprise me. I mean, the writers are mostly keeping it real, but we're not far from a more hardcore sci-fi development. Root is an actual cyborg with her cochlear implant, after all.

Oh and speaking of sci-fi, not gonna lie; at the end there, when Greer told Martine "I'm expanding your capabilities", I was half-expecting him to plug her in for an upgrade.

I always love the little things on this show. Shaw jumps out of the truck unassisted while Root is helped by Fusco. Every little move is in character.

"Iris, are you stalking me?"

I still feel like the show is setting up Shaw's death. Which I will NOT be OK with. I guess we'll know it's coming if she ever actually kisses Root onscreen (because you know she is kissing her offscreen. A lot.).

Yes! I love that eating (and eating in style) defines her.

First things first:

Reese: "I don't need therapy".

What a rip-off.

THE DOLL CAM, Y'ALL!

Another thing; I can already feel the show is setting up Reese to “fail” at maintaining his new identity. He's constantly doing little things that, cumulatively, could get him on Samaritan's radar. He's the one most often "breaking" cover and going totally off book. Sure, he's good at covering it all back up but for

So, Reese uses their new, shiny and top secret method of communication to text Harold
'Late night snack?'? Sure, it was for a number, but I still think he should have added a smiley.

Hahahahahah….

I actually wrote a paper on The Panopticon when I was in law school, for a criminology class. I picked the topic myself.

Thanks for the welcome! And I do vividly recall reading your comments in particular (and the language that came with them). Makes me feel even more at home, frankly.

Thank you! I've been lurking and reading everyone's comments long enough that it already feels at home.

Since the show has a (great) new reviewer, I thought I'd delurk so it has a new poster as well.
