Wonderful news. As wonderful as my meeting CONNIE BRITTON last week in Austin. I didn't think the night could've gotten any better after watching the 4AD showcase in a Presbyterian Church. M.Ward, Dept of Eagles and St Vincent. But lo and behold, there's motherfucking

They may have been snap resolutions but I'm fine with that. This show, which I love dearly, cruises through disappointment after disappointment so consistently that it was nice to get an ep where so many things turned out alright. We can all be certain that won't last so enjoy it for what it was.

Flash Back
Throughout the series, Tammi has made vague references to her "wild child" past. She brought it up again on the way to San Antonio, while looking at that field. During this lil' moment, I had a fantasy about a flash-back episode. How great would it be to see wild child Tammi and young buck Eric tearing it

Dent May carries with him the spirit of Jonathan Richman. It's unabashedly fun and a little bittersweet. I enjoy the album.

Open Question
So this all begs the question, in 2008 do we have an equivalent band to Huey Lewis & The News? A feel good bar band with with catchy popular songs? I'd say The Hold Steady but they're not catchy enough and sing about hood rats too much.
