I've always been of the belief that with less plot, "Southland Tales" might have worked as just a collection of scenes and images about a world that's collapsing on itself.
"The Congress is a science-fiction fiasco of Southland Tales variety"
"Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on"
That it doesn't matter
His "no" reads like a "fuck you" . . . Which coincidentally is one way to look at the ending of The Sopranos. In any case, if a definitive answer to Tony Sopranos fate is THAT important to you, you are probably missing the point
I saw Tomei onstage in "The Realistic Joneses" on Broadway this past spring with a group of people. While they were excited to see Tracy Letts, Michael C. "But . . . It was so artistically done."
I kid . . . everyone I talked to who did see it (with several different tastes mind you) really didn't like it. There wasn't even a "It was okay, I guess".
"Hey! Its not our fault you didn't end act one with a character flying in defiance of gravity!" - The American People
"Love Letter" - A new clothing line from David Lynch . . . It's a bullet from him to you.
"Orifices" - The new clothing line from crONEnberg.
His amazing cell phone salesman character sold me on him 100%. Its the perfect demonstration of terrible customer service.
Also I just watched the filmed version of the 2006 revival of "Company" with Raul Esparza. That's pretty damned good as well.
Ah that's different. See with "Deadwood" the cursing is poetic and woven into the dialogue with great care. With "The Leftovers" it's just add as many "fucks" as you can because HBO.
