@Lovecraft- was that Six Flags New England? That's in Massachusetts, not CT… but it is close to the border.

@Abby-

As part of the German military, they're defending the Nazi regime, but most of the characters don't really think too highly of Hitler or the rest of the Nazis. The one bigtime Nazi character (the political officer?) is pretty openly hated by all of the sailors.

Not the Dahl short stories, but I think when I read "Boy", when he described how licorice bootstraps were supposedly made, I laughed harder than I can ever remember laughing at anything.

In the days before free porn on the internet, people jerked off to whatever they could get their hands on.

I've seen I and II.
I'll admit I was so bored during III that I fell asleep and missed a chunk of the middle. Whether or not that counts as "seeing it" is up for debate. I've seen enough of it.

I've only heard one track off the new album, and it was fine and all, but I didn't really feel the need to rush out and buy it. I've already got 4 Explosions in the Sky album… is this one really going to add that much more to the experience? It sounds like I'd be better off just dusting off the old CDs and giving them

Mandatory encores are kind of dumb, but since we're all expecting a band to play one, it feels like a rip-off if they don't. I've only been to a couple of shows where the crowd sucked so hard that the band didn't even bother with the mandatory encore, and that was a bummer.

@Steve McRib
That's true, they do adjust the bomb calorimeter readings to be more in-line with how the food is actually metabolized, but they're going by standard tables of how the caloric contents of ingredients are absorbed. This can vary greatly from person to person, and as I posted in my previous post, some

Ugly Truth- This has nothing to do with lacking common sense. By the time food gets to the large intestine in humans, we've already absorbed pretty much all of the calories that are going to be absorbed from the food. Thus, by studying the waste output from people who lack a large intestine, we can measure the actual

The difference is, no one on YouTube is half as funny or clever as they think they are. A lot of Weird Al's work has some semblence of quality that is lacking in the YouTube crap.

There's more to food-calories than just a number. There's also a matter of absorbtion and nutritional availability.

Passions was cancelled at least one month ago.

Prepare to set some fires. I recently watched Wonder Years because I loved it so much as a kid. It does not hold up well at all.

The twist is, he ends up with his life flipped- turned upside down- when he goes to live with his auntie and uncle in Bel Aire.

It's a bit juvenile, but Springfield Heights Institute of Technology always cracked me up.

I work out my anger by posting comments on avclub.

I always liked the British "Shameless" intro a lot ("Liam- gonna be a staaaaar") and I like the song they use for American "Shameless" but I'm not so much into watching the bathroom usage either.

Also, daddyz with a z.

I hope you mean Karen. Debbie is Frank's 10-year-old daughter.
