I'm not seeing the problem here.

I know there are some Marcel defenders who will say he was unfairly picked on by the anti-Marcel clique (the head-shavers) but I think it's probably more likely that they were nice, normal people driven to the brink of insanity by Marcel's assholery.
I'm sorry, but you all must be forgetting about the existence of the Ike & Tina Turner cover of "Proud Mary"
When I watched 25th Hour, I recognized one of the detectives but couldn't quite place where I knew him from.
Haven't heard the CD but…
I saw these guys open for Belle & Sebastian in Chicago.
I thought they were OK-at-best, but I've seen nothing but praise for this album, so I might have to give them another listen.
Whoa now, I don't think anyone was defending Miracle Whip.
How is that shit still on the market? Who is eating it?
Bishonen- below the waist?
Was that a typo for below the wrist? Hand tattoos are generally a bad idea for most people. Leg tattoos just usually don't look great, but aren't on par with neck or hand tattoos.
GeoGreg- Star Witness by Neko Case
The guy from the National writes the best lullabies. Every time I listen to that band it puts me right to sleep.
I was scared for Carla when she announced she was making lettuce wraps with the bluefish. It seems to me to be more a fish to hide behind other strong flavors, rather than something like a lettuce wrap which would really bring the fish to the forefront.
I guess it worked though, since she won.
I've seen Katy Perry perform twice on TV (once on SNL and once on some other show.)
I've listened to Born With Monkey Asses so many times, just trying to figure out what the fuck that woman is ranting about.
I love Awesome Show, but honestly, on a good day it's maybe 50% funny. Some of the stuff is some of the funniest shit I've ever seen, and some is just painful to watch.
I knew a Dick Pecker.
@jerkheadface: I'm with you on Food Party.
The best show that no one paid attention to…. and now it's gone.
I think Walking Dead holds the record for most rapidly descending from "This is awesome!" to "I barely care what happens anymore."
My vote for funniest TV series of the year: Food Party.

I'd argue that nearly all of the non-slavery issues given as reasons for southern secession had roots in slavery- growing cultural differences between the north and south, industrialization vs agrarian economies, northern states passing tariffs that punished the south, etc.
Also worthy of mention is they talked about Elia badmouthing Tom Colicchio to the press.
