Figured out the killer this episode. There's a big hint!

Finished the day before the first episode aired. I agree that you get so immersed in the dynamics of the town, especially when you go on a watching binge.

You're totally right that they do give it that everybody-knows-everybody scene when the dad is walking down the street. They kind of contradict themselves by implying the town is so large but framing it only around a few characters.

Do we have a choice between chicken or fish? Or at this point do we pick our own?

Having finished the first season, the first episode definitely warrants an A/A-. It is wonderful for setting up the foundations for the rest of the season and the music & cinematography are absolutely beautiful.

I have watched both series. Broadchurch does borrow some cues from The Killing, but it is definitely worthwhile in the end. I find the emotions in Broadchurch more genuine than the emotions in this past season of The Killing. Just you wait and see.

Completely agree with the inconsistency of Dexter's sexual tendencies. It is ironic that he is now going to fake it with Cassie in the same manner that he faked it with Rita. Wasn't it explained that Bullet knew it was a cop and that she was trying to flush him out? Again, another iffy plot point.

Did I miss something? Was it not a huge clichéd plot point that the day Linden finds out about Skinner and goes looking for Adrian he happens to be missing? Skinner had years to kidnap Adrian and he chooses that day to start following him around?
