The themes were nice but ending with Talia was kind of anti-climatic I thought.
I agree with that, especially Goggins
Not really. Its just not that common there would be such a difference between page and screen (hell, even between different volumes). As someone significantly younger than the comic industry, I'm pretty good at managing expectations when it comes to that. Helps the O'Neil volume is damn good.
I think my favorite seen was when they are letting Taystee go early and she didn't get to say buy to Poussay. Poussay than runs to the window really upset and tries to get Taystee's attention. Taystee starts dancing and Poussay starts laughing.
Because of JLU, I sought out old Question comics, specifically the Dennis O'Neil one.
There isn't a strong foundation for the government's actions in the New 52? I think the day a superhero shows up in the real world is that day most governments figure out a way to kill it just in case no matter how benevolent they have been.
So far Mud has been my favorite
They bought a lot of forgiveness from me due to Smith's performance but then it went downhill after the car crash at the pier

Johnny willingly got into bed with a woman because he was horny and thought she was attractive, not because he was undercover as her boyfriend and there is an expectation of intimacy from his fictitious persona nor solely for the sake of a bust, at least from what I could tell. His teammates also clearly didn't…
I'll say its arguable in most cases EXCEPT Sucker Punch (never saw the owl one). Sucker Punch was a pitiful excuse for a movie, even a trashy one.
In the age of the internet, everything's pretty much a "federal case"
I think it would have been a lot more effective without the talk radio segments. They stuck out like sore thumbs
I like that this movie was some weird alternate reality where New Orleans was in Massachusetts.I know the book is set in Boston and it seemed like they were making the movie to be in Boston and then decided last minute to keep it in New Orleans (where they were filming). I definitely detected some Boston accents, at…
