"Superman Returns vs Man of Steel," destined to be an "Elvis vs Beatles" cultural phenomenon

I'm pretty sure the big green creature is supposed to be Swamp Thing who made a previous cameo but as an alien i think http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-p…

Kinda reminded me of Barton Fink

Considering VB's sense of continuity and in-referencing, I'm sure its not the last we've seen of the photo

I think it's more literal. If you are "above such mockery" than that mockery is "beneath you"

I don't know if she has any permanent "borrowed" powers, but I believe she has enough control now that she can touch people without stealing any powers or stealing just the right amount without making them comatose. She'll probably be rotating through powers as convenient more often now.

Agree with all that

Not to mention over the course of the whole show, the Barn doesn't have enough money to do catch real bad guys. I don't think Aceveda is going to waste time tracking prank phone calls

@avclub-6dfdd63abbcb8863fba5ab0ab35d76f5:disqus  That makes sense. I agree with that. And after re-reading your initial post I think thats clear. I made the mistake

@avclub-1f93a5d50953fac07d7e6f54827ce9bc:disqus  "Comprehensive story" isn't (or at least shouldn't be) about stuffing as many things as possible into a premise as if to say "look at all these things we cover." It should be about crafting a story that feels complete start to finish. I never got that feeling from lost.

Lost should never be an example of "comprehensive story"

@avclub-60de3e1320094e0eae205daec43f283f:disqus Agreed, especially since Digg's sister in law seems to be phased out. When was the last time we saw her? It feels like a while From the very first moment, she seemed like that sibling that eventually gets dropped from the show Chuck Cunningham style.

I guess. I never got a father-son vibe from either of those relationships though. The only connection to the theme, at least to me, is that Russell and Tran are older than Nick.

This reminds me of that George Takeii quote "….lowest common denominator of butthurt"

Has Nick really been looking for a father figure all season? I don't remember too many daddy issues besides episodes that were about his own dad, and that seemed more about a strained relationship than a search for acceptance. I'm definitely missing something because even the episode made mention of it.

I read that said American Hustle was delayed due to the Boston Marathon bombing

Nice to see Dennis Farina come back. My gut feeling was the funeral might have had something to do with them trying to get Farina back but he didn't want to or something.

I thought the rape of the little girl was pretty organic. Far more organic than a future rape on this show

Oh shit, does that exist online somewhere? I would love to see that promo

I could have sworn I read one time that Freakazoid was developed as a Creeper tv show, but DC pulled the plug and Timm re-pitched it as creator-owned(ish) Freakazoid to WB.
